Hydro-Mulching is the process of applying seed, nutrients, and mulch in a mixture of water in correct proportions in a single process. Hydro-Mulching is our preferred method of seeding for the following reasons:

Faster germination of seed due to proper water and nutrient mixture
Mulch is more uniform than straw and contains no weed seed
Sod quality results are possible in 3-4 weeks at half the cost of sod
Superb erosion control without the expense or "thatch" of blankets and straw

Once applied to the soil, the material enhances initial growth by providing a microenvironment beneficial to seed germination. If the area being planted is smooth and manicured, the resulting grass surface will be smooth and manicured. This procedure is commonly seen on golf greens resulting in the smooth, tight surface.
