The Sentricon System

Protect your home
by getting termites
where
they live.

Shoop's has been a certified operator of Sentricon sense the system first began. Experience matters when you are protecting your most valuable asset.

Termites are on a mission. It’s called Operation Munch.

Eat. It’s all termites want to do. In the ecosystem, their role is to break down plant and wood material — good news in the forest, bad news in the neighborhood. Their trick is to tunnel from their underground colony through the soil to any source of cellulose (your home, for instance), which they devour from the inside out. You don’t even notice their work until structural timbers are severely damaged. And, as if your house weren’t enough, termites also consume fences, paper, furniture, cloth and books.

How much havoc does this round-the-clock eating machine wreak? Every year in the United States:

  • More than 5 million homes have some type of termite problem
  • About $5 billion in termite-related property damage occurs
  • Termite damage is more common than damage caused by storms, fires and earthquakes
  • The costs of termite damage are rarely covered by homeowner’s insurance

That’s the termites’ mission. Now, what’s yours? One thing’s for sure, you can’t ignore termites and the damage they cause. You’ve got to move quickly, but move smart.

Statue Of Liberty Has Sentricon

It’s time to plan your counterattack.

You’ve decided it’s time to do something about termites. Now the question is simply: what? As you plan your course of action, you need to know about the Sentricon® Termite Colony Elimination System.

The Sentricon System, the first and most successful termite baiting system, has
been proven to eliminate termite colonies by independent research at 30 universities, reported in 45 published scientific articles, and by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. It uses only a few grams of active ingredient in a cellulose matrix that termites love to eat. This Recruit™ termite bait is placed strategically in in-ground Sentricon stations in areas where termites are or may be active. Termites feed on the Recruit termite bait and share it with nestmates until the colony dies. The Sentricon System requires no drilling in floors or foundations, no digging or trenching and no gallons of chemical solution injected in the soil.

SHOOP'S TEXAS TERMITE will come to your house and provide a
FREE estimate. Afterwards, our professionals will provide the following:

1.First, your property is inspected for signs of termites.

2.Then, Sentricon® stations are placed in the soil around your structure. Where a building is edged with concrete sidewalks, driveways or parking lots, a concrete coring device may be used to place the stations.

3.The stations are checked regularly for termite activity.

4.When termites are found in one or more stations, they are transferred to a Baitube* device containing Recruit* II termite bait. The device containing the termites is then placed back in those stations.

5.The captured termites feed on Recruit II, tunnel out and send other colony nestmates back to feed on the bait. As they do so, the colony starts to decline and will eventually be eliminated.

6.After a colony has been eliminated, the bait is replaced with new monitoring devices. Your pest control professional will continue to inspect these to discover any new colonies that might invade your property.
